The Richmond Rovers Rugby League & Sports Club is an Auckland Rugby League club proudly based in the inner-city suburb of Grey Lynn. Richmond is a family-orientated club, run by dedicated volunteers and supported by our local community and the wider Auckland region.

Our club is home to more than 500 junior players, 200 senior players, and over 200 social members. During the summer months, Richmond also supports the active outdoor sporting community by hosting and partnering with other codes, including Touch (Grey Lynn Touch), American Football (Metro Lions), Athletics, and Tag (Central Knights).
Richmond is a club rich in tradition and history. In 2013, we proudly celebrated our centennial year, marking 100 years since our establishment. From humble beginnings, Richmond has grown into a place many families across Auckland call home.

Grey Lynn Park remains at the heart of our club — a gathering place for members, supporters, and visitors alike. Richmond is widely respected for its strong reputation, sportsmanship both on and off the field, and its deep commitment to community involvement.

Match Managers Wanted
Want to get close to game day action? We’re recruiting 2 new match manager volunteers. If you have good attention to detail and love the live action of rugby league - check out the Role of a Club Match Manager and sign up today. 
  • Ensure all ARL policies and match-day protocols are followed.
  • Assist with sideline management and game-day compliance.
  • Conduct team checks before games, verifying player eligibility, team lists, and compliance with competition rules.
  • Support match officials and facilitate a positive game-day experience.
  • Oversee and manage the LIVE scoring of matches, ensuring accurate and timely updates.

The 2024 and 2025 seasons were just a glimpse of what we can achieve with the backing of our community.
We’ve retained a strong core of our playing roster and added fresh artillery to an already formidable squad. After bringing the Fox Memorial Shield home to Grey Lynn Park in 2024 for the first time in 44 years, it was a proud moment to share with our members and supporters. While we fought hard to defend the shield throughout 2025 and ultimately fell short, there are plenty of positives as we build toward an even stronger 2026 campaign.
Now we need your support.
For the 2026 season, we’re inviting businesses, families, and supporters to help us fill our vacant jersey positions with your company logo, business name, or family name. A range of sponsorship options are available, with different price points to suit your budget.
We’re also launching an exciting new initiative where you can contribute to the Premier team’s success from as little as $1,250 per annum.

The Richmond Rovers Foundation Club is a fundraising initiative to support Richmond Rovers Rugby League and Sports Club Inc.
 
Monies raised will be tagged strictly to be spent on the mundane costs associated with being able to run this club from week to week, year to year. As sourced from Richmond’s 2018 Audited Accounts, last year the general operating expenses came to $26,065. READ MORE
