Wazup every body hope all are well and are still doing the club and community proud... Missing my brothers and sisters from the club and still hope and dream that one day the mighty Richmond Rovers Bulldogs can be at the top where we should of been long time ago... Grey Lynn Richmond original, Danny Boy
Hi Tere, You are doing a fantastic job mate - keep it up! Andrew Sylvester
Great to see the website... Thanks to the email from Bruce Buchan. As l now live in Brisbane I will be able to keep up to date with the 100 years Centenary and plan on being there for the celebrations. - Gary Dryland
Thanks for the invite, all the best for the season and god bless those who have passed and those who are yet to come. Best League years had with Richmond - Silver Kiliva
Started playing at Richmond in 1951, 6 years old till 1966 after being ball boy for Hec Martin's team. My Dad, Ralph was on committee and also Club President and Secretary for a number of years. Mum was on the Ladies Committee along with Colleen Williams and all the other mums who did a great job fundraising to supply all junior boys playing gear. Played with John (Hone) Holloway,Ray Williams, Johnny Pearson, Nev Kesha, Ventry Reid,Rob Hewitson, Mike McLennan, Ernie Newton, Phil and Gary Dryland,Des Hetherington,Edgar Neenee, Bob O'Brian,Clive Hill, Bruce Buchan and many more.
Restarted the defunct Old Boys Association with Hec Martin in 2008 and have had some great get-togethers over the years especially meeting up with younger players. Great club and great memories - Rod Rowe
Memories of growing up as little kid in Grey Lynn.... getting up early Saturday mornings and watching my cartoons and Fraggle Rock....getting ready for my league game. Walking down Williamson Ave then cutting down Elgin St to Grey Lynn Park. Catching up with your mates and wondering whose parents were going to turn up and whether we had enough lifts to our games. Just being out there and having a go with your friends, awesome memories. The people I've met through Richmond are like family, and the best way I can describe the club is FAMILY. Although I'm older now with my own kids, Richmond Rugby League Club will forever be a part of me. Congratulations on a magnificent 100 years, wishing I was there this weekend to celebrate with all of you. Bite-em Bulldogs! - Richard Solomona
BIG UPS TO PEACHES :) not easy singing in front of a big crowd especially at the age of 6. This girl got some mad talent! Share this around yo. share, share, share. btw, she's already got her boys just look to the left of the stage lmao. - Kenneth Lafaele
Tough times in those days as a young kid growing up in central Grey Lynn. Also made some great friendships to last a life time. Richmond Rovers great club to play rugby league and in the off season best place to play touch back in the days. - Steven Daniel
The Families of Grey Lynn. That’s what I remember of my time at Richmond. 😊- Manu Seve
Not long just got in from a wonderful day spent at Richmond Grey Lynn ~ Family Day. Thanks team for all your efforts today. It was a wonderful day for our kids and our community ♥ So exhausted! I can't even focus on the TV screen sorry Vodafone Warriors. That's me stuffed. It's been an absolutely awesome weekend for our loved Club celebrating our 100 years - too many highlights, and many many people and supporters to thank but for now Amazing Efforts Richmond ♥ ♥ - Kyla Kaiser-Day
Big Thanks to Tasha Hohaia singing at last minute's notice at our special day-what a professional… featuring amongst others Grace Ikenasio, Karisma, Ashley Tonga, Prestige Dance Crew, LOMEZ BROWN, HERBS, CHE FU!! Organised by a great team, SENE ATAFU, and assisted by Leone Tuialii, Kyla Kaiser-Day,and others - Sammy Toa Onesemo Sagapolu
Massive shout out to OJ Guttenbeil’s old man Matt for getting this award down at Richmond... Well deserved, if it wasn't for his ruthless ways and teaching us not to give up and harden up probably wouldn't be the people we are today... Was an honour to play under him and to Aunty Lele! Mad Respect- Tevita Latu
Congrats to cuz Matthew Guttenbeil for being named Centennial Coach. Great achievement Matthew, during your time in the Juniors, and a successful Coach at that. Richmond for Life - Lele Sipeli-Schaumkel
Well guys n gals now that the dust has settled a little, what a wow of a weekend. You all need to give yourselves a very generous pat on the back. The effort from all of you particularly in respect to the days and nights of activity at our beloved house Grey Lynn Park was truly outstanding. I was amazed at the turnout of people working at the front and behind the scenes. The girls in the kitchen were awesome packed into that small space and bashing out those burgers. (and chop suey yum) Lord knows how Adam kept the bar up with the thirsty hordes but from what I heard it was a great success… seeing all those old boys running round the no 1 field again on Sunday was hugely enjoyable. The kid’s games, the Premiers, The Roses gives me great heart for the next hundy years… - Hone Holloway
