Richmond beat out a valiant Hibiscus Coast Raiders 30-16 at Stanmore Bay Reserve to finish the Fox Championship competition in second position with 10 competition points. Ending the season first equal with Manukau BlackHammer (1st) and Northcote Tigers (3rd) based on points differential. Te Atatu Roosters finish in 4th position and look to the 2022 season in the Fox Memorial Qualifying Series.
The Junior Fiu coached Richmond side are a slick operation with a mix of youth and experience led by a strong leadership group and although have had recent losses to Otara 24-20 at Grey Lynn Park and 24-10 loss to Northcote away at Birkenhead Memorial Park the side are well versed to take to the playoffs with great confidence having beat Manukau 28-22 and Te Atatu 30-12.
