Hi all,
The Richmond club is out of the red financially and moving in to the Yellow/Orange zone thanks to your loyal support of our 100 Club. The Richmond club are very thankful and it is of great interest to many old boys and current members to see our doors remain open thanks to the generosity of your actions. You can be pleased to know that the Richmond bar thanks to the dedication from Adam and his bar team are making profits not seen at the club for some time -fantastic work!
From the recent Richmond Batons-Up Raffle held at the Grey Lynn Tavern last Friday Gus and his lovely wife Sally banked $2,228.00 into the Richmond club account. We would like to thank everyone in our 100 Club Committee for their on-going support and hard work for our club plus those who bought a Raffle ticket! Who would have thought that at this time of the year we are still raising funds for our Beloved Club?! Unbelievable turn out for the Richmond Batons up and a superb effort from all involved. The 100 Club and Richmond Rugby league cannot thank you enough for helping Gus and his team with this 100 Club Campaign.
We will now just concentrate on finishing our Richmond After 5 events for 2012, continue recruiting Richmond members for the 100 club and try our best to keep the momentum going. Some focus will be to start looking at how WE can help with the Club's Sponsorship Committee for 2013... on that note there is a meeting called for Saturday 11 August at 9.30am at the Richmond club to start discussions about the Club Sponsorships for the 2013 Season. I would ask all members of our 100 Club Fundraising Committee to be involved.
We have sent out invitations to some old boys and local business people as well. WE are trying to be very proactive as the off season is near. Suggested Group will consists of: Charlie O’Dwyer, Clive Murray, Graeme Atmore, 100 Club Committee, Sean Mitchel (Publisher Techday), invite to -Old Boy Peter Fell (of the Fell Group), Gerhard Sunborn, Graeme Atmore who will probably chair the Committee with Gus in the background. See you all if you could make it at the Club 9.30. I believe the kitchen will be open so come on down to support the club with your ideas with a full tummy!
Regards
100 Club Committee
