Below is a list of Richmond Junior grade players who have secured opportunities in Australia for season 2014.

Faitotoa Faitotoa and Matthew Faitotoa - Newcastle Knights
Set up for a three year deal that will see them attend a High Performance Camp in January 2014 before they head to Ipswich State High where they will take up a scholarship that will see them join the Rugby League Academy and play for Ipswich in the Mal Meninga Cup before moving to Newcastle to join the NYC Squad in 2015.

Casey Lafaele - Penrith Panthers. 
Casey will attend Patrician Brothers Blacktown where he will join their Rugby League program while playing in the Panthers SG Ball side. The club has an option to extend Casey's time at the club for another year if he performs to expectation.

Tom Leota - Sydney Roosters. 
Will join the NYC Squad for 2014 with an option for an upgrade and extension depending on his performance in preseason.

Moses McGreal - Manly Sea Eagles. Moses will attend Narrabeen Sports High while playing SG Ball for Manly. He also will be given an opportunity to join the NYC Squad subject to his performance over the SG Ball season.

Michael McKinnon - Kingsgrove Colts/ Feeder club
Michael has undergone a shoulder reconstruction however he has secured an opportunity to play for Kingsgrove Colts in the Ron Massey Cup under new head coach and former New Zealand international Jeremy Smith. If Michael is able to make a successful comeback and play some good footy we hope to have him join a club for NYC preseason in 2014/2015.

With Richmond Senior Prize Giving over it brings the curtains down on what has been an awesome 2013 season for the Premier 2nds Richmond USOs. Congratulations to the following senior club prize winners:

Best Back and Players Player: Jonathan Petaia.
Best Forward: Tino Ape.
Most Improved: Junior Setu.
Player of the year: Junior Papalii.

We have had an awesome season and with that there are a few people who the USO's management would like to acknowledge for their contribution and support during the season.

Firstly Lee Whitefield, for hooking us up with our awesome looking jackets. The boys looked very sharp this year. Shot Lee!

Pau Timaloa, that manager guy who did all managerial stuff, filled up the water bottles and still had time to hook the boys up with their number 1's, Richmond hoodies etc.

Ming Mafoe, for sharing his knowledge, Club Physical gym facilities and for taking the boys for training.

Eugene Bareman Jnr and City Kickboxing, for letting the boys train at their awesome venue when the Grey Lynn Park fields were closed.

The brothers up on USO Hill, Kipa, Martin, Lafa, Mat Rew, Mani, Sumeo and all the other USO’s who do the behind the scenes stuff for the lads; who without their continued support we would never have been able to achieve what we achieved in 2013.

The USO’s players, who put their bodies on the line week-in and week-out for the blue and maroon jersey that they wear with distinct pride.

And finally our coach Tala Mafoe, trainer Ivala Va'aelua and the rest of our weekly support crew Junior Holo, Mani, Dean Tigafua and all those who when they weren't playing would help on the side... Malo brothers.

We thank you all for making the 2013 season an awesome journey, if we've forgotten anybody I apologise but know that your contribution is really appreciated. It has truly been a season to remember.
