New players please also bring a copy of a birth certificate or passport. The Richmond Rovers will be establishing even more junior restricted teams in 2014. A restricted team has maximum weight for players, this makes sure even the little guys can have a great time playing league without the concern of playing against physically much larger kids. To give you an idea the restricted grades last season are listed here. Any questions? Paid social and club members will have the ability to nominate and elect the 2013 Richmond committee. ![]() Richmond senior pre-season training is well in to full effect. With less than 6 weeks to game one Richmond head co-coach Henri Nicholas is asking all past and present Richmond senior players to attend training to get fitness and conditioning levels up avoid early season injury. Increasing and encouraging playing numbers in recent weeks are ensuring players will be fit and gearing to go for game one against the Ellerslie Eagles. Sprint training, tackle technique drills and conditioning games are regular features at pre-season training and the effort from the current pre-season training squad is looking favourable. Many former Richmond club players have turned up looking to help the club in 2012 with the likes of Tere Strickland, Savi Hafoka, Cale Baker, Gerhard Sunborn and Val McDonald making appearances. Richmond players are encouraged to turn up and support the rest of the boys who are already racking up the kilometres.
