The team wanted to bounce back from the last minute loss at the hands of the Glenora Bears so focus at training was on fitness, defence and working specifically on contact drills. This showed with great forward momentum from Richmond stalwart Faavae Kalolo and Roni Lakatini leading the way up the mid field.
The first half Richmond scored at will to take an early 20 - 0 lead courteously from tries to Junz Uale, Fu’e Lomi, Weis Bula and Tamu Mataora. With our halves directing play Josh Sioasi and Ojay Guttenbeil were able to do create space and control the ruck. With further tries to Onelani and a couple more to Fu’e Lomi the team were up 38-0 with 10 minutes remaining. Mangere
