The second half had started the same as the first half with Mangere scoring 2 unanswered tries and the boys started to showing some fatigue. The Premier team then tried there hand with chip kicks but this back-fired as four runaway tries came from four kicks. The Premier coaches rolled our 12 interchanges with quick succession but this did not stop the home teams onslaught who were breaking tackles and offloading at will. Finally the final whistle went and the score showed it was a dismal day at the office in which favoured the home side 76-12. Mangere showed that they were prepared to play and took RIchmond back to school showing the visiting club how to play as a team.
The Premier Coachingflafi management team spoke with the boys after the game telling them how disappointing and badly they presented themselves. We advised them that this has been the worst defeat for any Premier side in Richmond's Premier grade team history. Each player will have to look at themselves and look to bring something to training on Tuesday especially as they know what has happened and how can they fix it if they want to stay in the Premier grade team.
There are still 14 games to play before the semi finals, hopefully this game has shown us what needs to be done and what we need to fix to become the dominate side that we know we can be.
