Richmond Juniors weekend recap 21 June

Neighboring club Ponsonby Ponies played our Richmond Under 6s. As always it was the best of friends off the field but rivals on the battlefield. Player of the Day was awarded to Xavier Lafaele. Well done! Final score Richmond 36 - Ponies 24.

Richmond Under 7s Maroons are having a cracker of a season with only 3 losses. A narrow loss to Ellerslie in a very tough game as the team were down by 4 tries in the 3rd quarter but made a valiant comeback but just got pipped at the post. Player of the day: Aslan Ualika stunning display with 4 tries. Best Defensive player: Lennox Fuimaono. Sportsmanship award: Revelation Tagaloa. Final score 32-36 to Ellerslie

The Richmond Under 8s played Bay Roskill RED. Well done to Vincent Ieriko on his great performance who was also awarded player of the day. Final score 20-20 Draw.

Richmond Under 13s coached by Premier player Bronson Harden and Managed by Denise Dunn played the Glenora Bears. Player of the Day went to Timor Holo-Williams. Highlight of the day went to Glenora who have a big heart and didn't give up despite playing short of a full team. Final score Richmond 48 - Glenora 8.
