Richmond Rovers Rugby League & Sports Club Board is excited to announce Steve Buckingham as Premier Coach and Junior Fiu as Premier 1st coach for the 2018 Auckland Rugby League Fox Memorial Shield competitions.
Both Steve and Junior will be leading our Fox Memorial Premier Grade teams for the 2018 season and bring with them a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Collectively having won multiple Auckland Rugby League Fox Memorial Shield titles they bring a winning attitude and work ethic as players and coaches to the Richmond Rovers rugby league club. Both individuals will be instrumental with developing our youth players as well as providing guidance for upcoming Richmond junior and senior coaches.
Steve has coached numerous teams to Fox Memorial Shield Grand Finals and Junior’s coaching ability and winning record in Secondary school college football for St Pauls is well recognised.
This Saturday 4th November 2017 from 10am at the Richmond Rovers Rugby league clubrooms Steve and Junior welcome all 2017 senior grade players and welcome new players (regardless of playing history or ability) to discuss campaign plans for the 2018 season. This is an open invite to all past, present and potential players who are keen on working together to win the elusive Fox Memorial Shield competition in 2018.
Richmond Rovers is a welcoming club with long standing second, third and fourth generation family members who encourage having fun, team work, self-improvement, and developing grass roots rugby league. With a rich 100+ year history, growing playing membership, generous loyal sponsors and amazing support from current and past members (including Richmond’s Old Boys network) why not be part of the Richmond Rovers rugby league club family.
